Masking a field response is useful when collecting sensitive data that you do not want to be visible on signed documents. When used, responses appear as a series of asterisks and can only seen by the sender (or the sender’s team) when viewing sign request data.

To mask field data:

1. Go to the field attributes menu.
2. Toggle “Mask data” on or off as desired.

To view masked data:

1. Go to Sign Requests.
2. Search for and select the sign request with the masked data you want to view.
3. Hover over the ellipsis (three dots) icon appearing next to the template.
4. Select “View data.”
